I am the excited to start as principal of St. Gabriel School this fall. Prior to pursuing my Masters degree in administration, and serving as principal of St. Kilian School for four years, I taught here for 19 years from 1993 to 2012. As a child I actually attended this same school for 8 years when it was St. Hubert School. I realize the reason I continue to return to this place is because of its deep rooted Catholic faith, the quality teaching staff, the academic excellence, and the family atmosphere. Before receiving my Masters degree at Marquette University I attended the University of Oshkosh where I obtained my Bachelors degree in education.
Last summer I traveled to Ethiopia for ten days to train principals in the regions of Meki and Gighessa. Through Catholic Relief Services my team was able to help educate 35 school leaders in developing mission statements, job descriptions, handbooks, conflict resolution skills, communication skills, and financial management skills.
Outside of the education and administration field, I enjoy woodworking, camping, volleyball, softball, and spending time with my family and friends. I like listening to country music, eating pizza, and making jigsaw puzzles...sometimes all at the same time.
