About Us

St. Gabriel Parish was established July 1, 2002, from the merger of St. Columba of Colgate, St. Hubert of Hubertus, and St. Mary of Richfield. We are a young parish whose roots go back over 160 years when Irish and German believers first settled in this area and formed our merging parishes, cultivating a deep enduring tradition of faith in the people of our community.

Set amongst the rolling farmlands in Hubertus, St. Gabriel Parish draws worshipers from many neighboring communities: Colgate, Hubertus, Richfield, Germantown, Jackson, Lake Five, Lannon, Menomonee Falls, Slinger, Sussex, and others. We continue to grow and evolve to meet the needs of the people who represent St. Gabriel Parish.

Like our namesake, we proclaim the “good news” to all who will listen and like Mary, we say “yes” to God. At St. Gabriel Parish, we are committed to honoring God’s love in our celebration of the Eucharist and sacraments. We express our gratitude for God’s blessings by reaching out to our neighbors, supporting our food pantries, furnishing our mother’s room, helping St. Ben’s meal programs, caring for our senior citizens, tending to our bereaved, and participating in the many programs managed by our parish nurse and Human Concerns Committee.

We are faithful to our mission to “teach the Word” ~ our Christian Formation programs serve our parishioners and neighbors of all ages. Christianity and God’s Word in every day life are taught in our parish school and religious education program; Knowledge, Love, and Respect for our faith is impressed upon our teens not only in the classroom but also through the joy and hard work of community service; and a deeper understanding of our Church and ourselves is nourished in our many adult education programs.

Come join us as we meet the challenges of saying “YES” to God!
