Ways to serve in Christian Formation

Are you being called to serve? Volunteers are always welcome and needed!

Children's Ministry

CGSWe are presently seeking individuals to serve as lead or co-lead catechists on Sunday mornings and Monday evenings September - mid-April.  All training will be provided right here at St. Gabriel!

See what other catechists are saying about this program:

"This "training" is like "non-other!"  Past participants have said that it is more like going on a beautiful retreat in the Catholic faith than going to a class. "

"I've learned more in CGS than all my years of Catholic education!"

"Catechesis of the Good Shepherd has drawn me into my faith and caused me to fall in love with Jesus in a way I didn't even know was possible!"

St. Gabriel Parish will also sponsor the tuition involved in the training in exchange for your participation and commitment to helping lead our children in the atrium.  Parents of students in any of our formation programs will also receive a tuition break for their participation and help.

Please prayerfully consider sharing your gift of faith and time. If you feel God tugging at your heart to help, please call or email Bonnie Schoofs Director of Children’s Ministry at [email protected], or  Jill Sheehan, Assistant of Children's Ministries at [email protected] or leave a message at the parish office: 262-628-1141.

All adults over the age of 18 are required to complete and pass a background check and attend a live training session on Safeguarding All of God’s Family. If you have yet to complete this training session, please discuss the process with Bonnie Schoofs, the Coordinator of Children’s Ministry.
