Hello,

I am Jill Sheehan and I am the Pastoral Secretary at St. Gabriel since 2018. My husband Dan and I joined the St. Gabriel community back in 2005 when we enrolled two of our children in St. Gabriel School as 4th and 1st graders. Shortly after that we joined the parish and have since graduated all four children from St. Gabriel School. I love sharing time with my husband, Dan, who I have been blessed to be married to for 27 years, and our children. Lindsay (24), who is a high school English teacher in Hudson, WI and recently engaged to Kevin who we are excited to welcome into our family, Cassidy (21), studying nursing at Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI and working her tail off at Gunderson Hospital, Tommy(17), a senior at Hartford High School who is exploring colleges, playing baseball and working at Kwik Trip & Christopher (14), a freshman at Hartford High School who I am just not ready to see growing so fast, but who is now unofficially the tallest in the family. (I should probably include Charley our 4-year-old springer spaniel since he thinks he is another kid too!)

My roles have allowed me to see this community from all sides. First, as a school parent, then as a parent and parishioner, and now as an employee as well. This has truly been a blessing for me to see all the beautiful people who make up St. Gabriel! The best part is we continue to grow in our faith through this vibrant parish!

It is a great honor for me to be of assistance to our parishioners for anything from changing a phone number to arranging a funeral or scheduling a baptism. I was overwhelmed by the caring staff that I work with and I enjoy interacting with so many volunteers and parishioners.

I find so much strength from reading scripture and I especially like to look for the promises God gives us throughout His word. My favorite is from 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather of power and love and self-control”. Whenever I read this I feel like I stand a little taller and feel a little more confident! That verse along with the St. Michael Prayer and the Memorare get lots of repetition in my prayer time!
